Rumours

In generation 3, the Mossdeep  space center had a man who always stated the number of weeks since the last rocket launch. This statistic was actually the number of weeks since you started the game. Players started the rumor stating that if the number of launches reaches a certain number, the player's character could travel by a rocket to space and battle Jirachi and Deoxys. This is fake obviously but it would be cool to catch them as Deoxys can only be caught on Birth Island and Jirachi only through events. However, in Gen 6, in the Delta episode of ORAS, the player can in fact control Rayquaza from Sky Pillar and it can evolve into mega Rayquaza on which the player can travel into space to battle Deoxys and stop a meteorite.  Emerald, apart from the Gameboy graphics, is considered to be the best Pokemon game in which Faraway Island can also be accessed using the Old Sea Map at which you can catch the elusive Mew. Mew, like Jirachi is one of the most elusive Pokemon of the game which can be obtained only through events like the one mentioned above. It would be cool if the space rumor was true much like the truck rumors of Gen 1.
