Sturdy

Steel is a type introduced in generation 2 to counter the all pervasive and powerful psychic type in generation 1 along with the dark type. Defensively, it is the best as it resists all types except electric, fighting, fire, ground, and water. They also have high average physical defense like Steelix which is tied for the highest base defense with Shuckle and Umbreon. Steel types also have interesting secondary and primary types like bug and ground. Scizor and Forretress have only one 4 fourfold weakness which is fire. Scizor also has high base attack. One common disadvantage of steel types is their low speed due to their excess weight. Even Skarmory, which is comparatively faster than steel types, is slower than most flying Pokemon. Offensively, it isn't exactly very useful as it only counters the Ice and Rock types which can also be countered by the more common fighting type. So it is advisable to get a dual steel type Pokemon.  Also, Aegislash sucks. Bisharp and Scizor for the win
