SETI

SETI, also known as the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, is a program initiated by the USA to find out if there are aliens living among us. It isn't any surprise that the USA has agreed to undertake such a plan as this place seems to be the only place where aliens and UFOs land. Many scientists have come up have invaluable theories and formulas about the existence of another race. Enrico Fermi for example postulated the Fermi paradox which stated that if alien life does exist, they would have come to our planet by now. However, we cannot see them. It is mind numbing, clearly. Frank Drake, a scientist, formulated the famous Drake equation which calculates the odds of encountering aliens based upon the hypothetical number of civilizations in the Universe. In the past, scientists have received many radio frequencies which they have taken to be as forms of communication but they have been electromagnetic emissions from quickly rotating stars etc. The big question lingers and continues to baffle the brightest minds; will we ever encounter an alien race? If we do, will they be superior to us in many ways as depicted by sci-fi movies? Also, will they look like us mere mortals or have access to the higher dimensions like the 7th or the 8th? One thing is for certain though. We're not the only ones out there. The anthropic principle supports this claim as it permits the existence of all kinds of carbon based life-forms, though we cannot know if our neighbors are indeed made up pf this simple element.

The famous equation which is a product of the above components and involves astronomy, biology, quantum physics, and even probability.
