Generation 5 and 6 have come up with some interesting Pokemon designs but though some of the new type combinations and visual displays have improved, some designs are ripoffs and look weird. Gen 6 introduced the new fairy type, which is immune to the dragon type, an effective but a somewhat needless immunity. Dragon moves don't deal double damage to any type other than themselves anyway. Also, fairy Pokemon are weak to poison, a useless type (honestly). It's only super effective against grass. There are some strong Pokemon as well as fairy moves such as Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam etc which work very well on Pokemon like Gardevoir and Xerneas, but the overall view is that fairy types are weird and random and that dark was indeed the last good type Nintendo introduced. Moving onto the new Pokemon designs and type combos, it's again a mixed bag. On one hand you have amazing Pokemon like Yveltal with its Oblivion Wing and then there are idiots like Garbodor, with lives up to its name as it is a poison type and can be encountered in garbage cans in abandoned places. Then there are Pokemon which are literally inanimate objects, like Aegislash, which is cool when you see it but it has a limited move pool and...it's a sword. This is a really wide and open topic as many people have their views and opinions about the new Pokemon. However, in the graphics department, the new Gens are really awesome as for the first time, we got diagonal movement of your player sprite and not just 4 cardinal directions. Yes our dreams are small. The in-battle sprites also move and the animation for quite a lot of the moves have changed. On a light note, my favorite new gen Pokemon is probably Tyrantrum. With a unique Rock/Dragon typing combo, it can learn head smash and is fast. Also it's a T-Rex. One last thing. Many fairy types are pileons as some Pokemon have simply been converted to fairy type like Snubbull and Granbull or their second type has been made fairy like Mr. Mime. And Oshawott is a ripoff of Piplup. What man Nintendo?

 Hawlucha is a unique and useful Fighting/Flying type.
